Our Patient Participation Group (PPG)

Our aim is to provide the best possible service to patients registered with the Broadshires Health Centre. To do this, we would like to work with our patients to address issues and gain insight as to how we can strive to be our best. The patient participation group consists of patients who wish to be involved in the practice to support us in providing best possible care.

Due to how hectic general practice has become, our PPG was put-aside for some time, but we are now more ready than ever to hear what you have to say and are very excited to build an excellent new PPG from scratch.

To make it possible to fit being an active member of this group into people's busy lives, the group's business will mainly be conducted via email using, primarily, surveys to develop an understanding of the important issues facing both the patients and the practice alike. The results of surveys will be published on this website.

Membership of the PPG

Membership of the PPG is open to all patients registered with the practice. We are keen to get as broad a representation of the practice's patient list demographic as possible and are keen therefore to attract members from all age groups. To sign up for the group please email us on broadshireshealthcentre@nhs.net  for the attention of our Practice Manager, Katie Nickless.

We have a Patient Participation Group with membership of a maximum of 12  patients at any time.  

The Patient Group are keen to hear from you -   all comments, concerns and issues received from patients will be passed on to the members for discussion. This will help them identify areas for further discussion and focus on areas for improvement.

Broadshires Health Centre is also participating in the national Friends and Family Test (FFT) survey - please see the tab on the right hand side to enter your feedback.

FFT is building on the very important patient feedback work that is already happening and continues the principle that people who use NHS services should have the opportunity to provide feedback on their experience so that it can be used to improve services. It is not a traditional survey as it provides the opportunity for a continuous feedback loop between patients and practices. NHS England will publish the results every month.  Broadshires Health Centre will publish it's FFT results on this website and in our waiting room.
