Chaperones

Our Practice is committed to providing a comfortable experience for all patients.

All patients are entitled to have a chaperone present at any consultation, examination or procedure. 

Clinicians also have the right to advise the presence of a chaperone for some examinations or procedures. This is to safeguard both the clinician and the patient.

Our staff members have received specific training to act as chaperones. It is for this reason that whilst you can bring family members/friends for support, they are not permitted to act as chaperones.

Please speak to a member of staff to request a chaperone within your appointment.
